ISLAMABAD – Mid-term elections are neither demand of the people nor need of the situation, Central Information Secretary of Pakistan Peoples’ Party Qamar Zaman Kaira said while talking to journalists outside of the Parliament on Tuesday.
“Mid-term polls are neither demanded nor needed,” Kaira said. When asked about the deadline given to PPP government by the Pakistan Muslim League-N, he said that deadlines are meaningless in politics and parties resolve differences though dialogue.
“Political culture has improved and now political parties despite different standpoints sit together to resolve differences, which testifies that political parties have become mature,” the information secretary of PPP said.
