CTP orders crackdown on traffic violations

Lahore – The City Traffic Police (CTP) has announced a massive crackdown from 1st March onwards against drivers without traffic licenses. The Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) SSP Syed Ahmed Mobin has commanded DSPs, circle in-charges and senior traffic wardens to launch a crackdown against the violators without any discrimination. DSP Licensing Ali Iftikhar Jaffery said CTP has standardized licensing method according to international standards.
“Four learners’ booths have been established at various points in the provincial capital in order to facilitate commuters. After 42 days, a driver having Learner’s Permit will be issued permanent traffic license on basis of sign and road tests,” he added. The DSP further said that citizens they can obtain learner’s, duplicate, renewal and international license or any other necessary information from these booths from 8 am to 4 pm.
