Pakistani kinnow draws huge response in Amsterdam

AMSTERDAM – Pakistani kinnow has drawn enormous response during the 2nd Annual Pakistani Kinnow Exhibition, which was held in Amsterdam on the other day. The exhibition was jointly organised by the Commercial Wing of the Embassy of Pakistan and Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Company (PHDEC), which was aimed at promoting Pakistani citrus in the Netherlands.
It was mainly a B2B event, which attracted more than 400 visitors, including buyers, traders and consumers. In addition, the functionaries of the Dutch government and the members of the diplomatic corps also visited the exhibition. Besides an impressive kinnow display set up by the Embassy of Pakistan, a leading importer of fresh fruits from Pakistan, Super Toko, also exhibited its product.
Saeed Khan Enterprises, one of the prominent exporters of fresh produce from Pakistan also participated in the exhibition. Ambassador of Pakistan to The Netherlands Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry speaking on the occasion, said that the Commercial Wing of the Embassy has been following a consistent strategy to promote Pakistani kinnow in the Netherlands.
With the intensive marketing campaign Pakistan’s status as the leading producer and supplier of citrus in the world is being emphatically recognised in the Dutch market. He also lauded the support provided by the PHDEC in promotion of Pakistani mango and kinnow in the Netherlands.
