JD to hold protest against Davis’ expected release

LAHORE – The outlawed Jamaatud Dawa (JD) will hold countrywide protests on Friday against the expected release of US national Raymond Davis, JD leader Ameer Hamza said on Monday. He was addressing a rally at the Qurtaba Chowk. Hamza alleged that Davis is a terrorist who should be hanged for killing innocent Pakistanis.
If the rulers tried to give him immunity, they would face the same face as former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak faced. Participants of the rally chanted slogans against the US government, president, PM and Davis. Hamza lamented that rulers used to distribute Rs 3 million each to every person who was a traffic accident victim but refused to compensate families of Fahim, Faizan and Ebadur Rehman.
TNRM Chief Coordinator Sheikh Yaqoob said that Davis is not a diplomat but a CIA agent.
