LAHORE – The charge sheet against former Punjab governor Salmaan Taseer’s assassin Mumtaz Qadri is a negation of Pakistan’s creation, Tehreek-e-Namoos-e-Risalat Mahaz (TNRM) President Raza-e-Mustafa said on Monday.
He was addressing a rally outside the Lahore Press Club. Mustafa said that people, who are giving a “royal protocol” to US national Raymond Davis, should think about their attitude towards Qadri. TNRM secretary Ali Naqshbandi said that if Taseer’s assassin had done anything wrong, then the leadership of the Pakistan Movement and Ilmddin had also chosen the wrong path. He said that Qadri was hero of the whole Islamic World.
Asif Jalali asked the government to conduct a referendum on the issue. He said that the government has taken back the security allotted to clerics, which showed its true intentions.
