Sajid Mir likely to be reelected unopposed

LAHORE – Senator Sajid Mir is set to be re-elected unopposed as the chief of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith (MJAH) after his sole opposing candidate Abdur Rehman Ludhianvi on Monday announced his withdrawal during a meeting with Mir at the MJAH office. The announcement paved the way for Mir’s fifth consecutive term as MJAH Chief.
Candidate for secretary general, Abdur Rashid Hijazi also withdrew in favour of Hafiz Abdul Karim. The MJAH Central Shura is scheduled to meet on February 27th at Sialkot for holding election for top party slots.
