LAHORE – Raul LaPlacette led Askari Insurance to a convincing win against Guard Group/Diamond Paints in the final of the Punjab Cup Polo Tournament here at the Aibak Ground of Lahore Polo Club on Sunday. The tournament, sponsored by Raaziq and organized by Lahore Polo Club, had Maj Gen Isfandiyar Ali Khan Pataudi, Chairman Pakistan Polo Association as chief guest.
Earlier in the day Warid claimed the third place after beating Ciro’s Pomodoro/Al Khan by six-and-a-half goals to five. Raul LaPlacette and Shah Qublai Alam began the final on a positive note by one goal each and delivered a stern warning to Guard Group/Diamond Paints that their team Askari Insurance means business. And the score 7-5
