LAHORE – Anwar Sadiq performed with zeal and amassed enough points to beat over 80 competitors in the Annual Royal Palm five-day Fitness Competition at the Fitness Arena of Royal Palm Golf and Country Club. The event was endorsed by Qalco Lubricants.
Amongst ladies, the one who demonstrated energy and enthusiasm was Dr. Raheela Akhter and was rightly declared the lady champion.
The Annual Fitness Competition concluded on Sunday and was open to competitors in the age brackets 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 55-60, 61-65 and above 65 and the events included Running, Fat Level, Pull Downs, Tricep Dips, Squats, Shoulder Press, Chin Ups, Bench Press, and Sit Ups. Amongst the males the top performers in each category were Sheraz Aslam, Sheraz Khawaja, Muhammed Aqif, Saeed ul Haseeb, Muhammed Amir, Salman Zia, Asadullah Khan, Abid Farooq, A.Razzaq Dawood and Anwar Sadiq.
Based on top aggregate points scored, Anwar Sadiq was declared the Champion.
In the ladies section, the winners in each of the events were Amina Sial, Palvoshay Shehryar, Naila Tariq and Dr. Raheela Akhter who was declared the ladies champion.
At the conclusion of the championship, the prizes were awarded to the winners by Fawad Rana of Qatar Lubricants in a ceremony attended by Editor Pakistan Today Mr Arif Nizami, Omer Mir, Ijaz Ahmed and all the participants of the competition and families.
