Pentangular Cup 2nd round starts

LAHORE – The second round of the Faysal Bank Pentangular Cup Cricket Tournament began here on Saturday. On the opening day of the four-day match, Punjab scored 347 runs for three with Mohammad Ayub scoring 117 runs while Azhar Ali, Imran Farhat and Taufeeq Umer hit half centuries against Sindh at the Gaddafi Stadium.
At LCCA ground, Saeed Anwar Jr missed century by five run but he along with Gulraiz Sadaf and Rizwan Haider took Balochistan total to 320 for nine against Federal Areas.
Scores: At Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore: Punjab 347-3 in 90 overs: (Muhammad Ayub 117, 166 balls, 11×4, 2×6, Azhar Ali 92, 200 balls, 9×4, Imran Farhat 75, 84 balls, 12×4, Taufeeq Umer 50, 77 balls, 6×4, Sohail Khan 2-76).
