Bomber blows himself up in Swat, stadium dynamited in Bara

SWAT/PESHAWAR – In an attempt to avoid arrest, an alleged terrorist blown himself up with explosive material in Marghuzar Town, Mingawara, late Friday night. According to officials, the security forces cordoned off a house to capture the alleged terrorist, Ayaz, on which he detonated the explosives and died on the spot.
However, Ahmad Jan, the father of Ayaz, and a brother were arrested and shifted to some unknown place for interrogation. The family belongs to Imam Dheri, a stronghold and headquarters of banned Tehrik Taliban’s faction headed by Maulana Fazlullah. And in Bara area of Khyber Agency, terrorists continued their destruction campaign as they dynamited a stadium at Dogra which also damaged a nearby school.
On the other hand, a police sub-inspector was injured when unknown militants opened indiscriminate firing on a mobile van of Gulberg Police Station in Nothia area of Peshawar. In another incident, one assistant sub-inspector (ASI) lost his life and three constables sustained bullet wounds during a clash with criminals on Cherat-Nowshehra Road.
Two outlaws were also killed in the gun battle. Meanwhile, the provincial capital was rocked on the night between Friday and Saturday as a result of two high-intensity simultaneous explosions near a private School at Charkhakhel. However, no loss to life or property was reported in the incident.
