Warrant issued for Rind tribe chief’s arrest

QUETTA – A judicial magistrate Friday issued arrest warrants of Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, an opposition member of Balochistan Assembly, and six others, including his son, on an FIR regarding a landmine blast in Dhadar area of Kachhi district.
The FIR was lodged on request of Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani in Levies Force Station Dhadar. A person was killed and another received injuries in a landmine blast in Mehar Garh, an archeological site, on February 3. Besides Yar Muhammad, who is chief of Rind tribe, his son Sardar Khan Rind and others have been nominated for alleged involvement in the said incident.
Raisani had stated in his application that the caretaker of their lands in the area, Baksh Ali Bangulzai, had lost his life while Muhammad Khan received wounds. It is pertinent to recall that Raisani and Rind are engaged in blood feud for the last 25 years that claimed over 200 lives and injured some 500 others.
Raisani, Rehman discuss Balochistan situation: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani Friday called on Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik and discussed various issues including law and order situation and other matters of mutual interest.
They discussed the progress made in implementation of the Aghaz-e-Haqooq Balochistan and stressed the need of early completion.
