Security man killed as check post attacked

PESHAWAR – Amidst tall claims on the part of authorities regarding a military action against militants, terror acts are being still reported from across Mohmand Agency, which borders Afghanistan.
According the official account, one security personnel was killed and four others injured on the night between Thursday and Friday when dozens of extremists encircled a check post at Ghanamshah and opened indiscriminate fire. However, the attack was repulsed after the security forces camping in surrounding areas reached the spot as the militants fled the spot.
Details about the human and logistic losses of the militants could not be ascertained. Meanwhile, the officials claimed netting a would-be suicide bomber from Ningolai area of Kalam in Swat. The 17-year-old suspected bomber was planning to attack any government installation or the security forces’ convoy. He has been shifted to some unknown place for interrogation.
The security forces in Dir have also claimed arresting a terrorist from Achar Keley and recovering two high-intensity bombs from his possession. It is important to note that the officials claim initiating operation against the militants in certain parts the Mohmand Agency where more than 5,000 families have been evacuated from the targeted areas and adjusted in two camps established in the same tribal belt.
The high ups of law enforcing agencies are of the view that terrorists are making attempts to escape from Mohmand Agency where a military action is in progress. Security have been tightened in Dir and Swat region where around 32 alleged militants were shot dead in clashes back while trying to enter Swat a few days.
