PPCBL secures bad loans

LAHORE – The Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank Ltd (PPCBL) has recovered the blocked and chronic loan worth Rs 2.05 billion. This was stated in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Minister for Cooperatives and Agriculture Punjab Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh, in connection with the performance of Cooperative Department and the Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank Ltd.
On this occasion, the minister was informed that the bank has issued the load of Rs 2.15 billion to 93,487 small borrowers of 12,157 cooperative societies. The minister for cooperatives stressed on the need for timely issuance of loan and recovery. He asserted that the pace of recovery from defaulter borrowers should be accelerated. Cooperatives Secretary Khalid Pervez, PPCBL President /CEO Liaqat Durrani and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
