Position holders deprived of scholarships

HAFIZABAD – The position holders in last year’s Middle Standard Examination are fed up as their scholarships have not been released despite the passage of one year. The Punjab government had announced scholarships for the position holders but after one year, not even a single student could receive the prize money.
This situation had created a sense of deprivation among the students who showed extra ordinary performance in the examination. All the position holders had demanded high ups release their scholarships as early as possible.
24 development SCHEMES APPROVED: Hafizabad district development committee has approved 24 new development schemes under the member provincial assembly’s development programme. A meeting of district development committee was held at the district complex that approved 24 new development schemes with a cost of Rs 24 million.
It was also told in the meeting that Punjab government had released Rs eight million for completing development schemes in the constituencies PP-105, PP-106 and PP 107 under this programme.
TEACHERS ENSURED PROMOTIONS: Hafizabad Education Executive District Officer (EDO) Sohail Azhar Khan has assured the teachers’ union that their promotion orders under the incentive package would be issued within next few days.
While talking to a delegation of teachers led by English Teachers Union President Rana Waqar Ahmad at his office, he said that after the completion of incentive package promotions, other grievances of the teachers would also be addressed including their regular promotions.
