LAHORE – After the success of chamber road shows last year, Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) is conducting chamber conferences across Punjab aimed at providing awareness to a wide range of entrepreneurs. Agribusiness and livestock are the main sectors of these road shows which will be focused upon and are primarily organised for the promotion of these sectors.
In this regard, the first road show was arranged at Lahore Chambers of Commerce and Industry yesterday, while on February 24 the second road show will be held in Faisalabad Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Road shows will also be arranged at Bahawalpur Chambers of Commerce and Industry on March 16 and Rahim Yar Khan Chamber of Commerce on March 17, 2011. The main objective of this initiative is to disseminate latest information on developments in agriculture and livestock sectors to potential investors and stakeholders.
It is hoped that these chamber road shows will provide a unique opportunity to all chamber members to learn about initiatives of Punjab Government for the development of these two sectors. It will also unveil new horizons of investment in agriculture and livestock sectors. Eminent experts and speakers have been invited to share their valuable insights during their presentations to the participants.
PBIT is an investment and trade promotion agency which operates to bring all stakeholders under one roof for the common cause of promoting investment in Punjab. With the launch of Chamber road shows, PBIT has set itself up as a platform for investors to forge business ties and enhance capacity building.
