KARACHI – Two alleged bandits were shot dead and another injured in an encounter with the police in Rizwan Society on Wednesday. Sachal police said a team of Gizri police station along with the area police conducted a raid at house No R-69, Rizwan Society, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and two alleged robbers were killed while one of their accomplices was injured after a brief shootout.
The bodies of the deceased and the injured were shifted to the hospital, where the deceased were identified as Imran and Owais. The injured was identified as Adnan. Police have registered five FIRs – Nos 105/11, 106/11, 107/11, 108/11 and 109/11 – on the complaint of Gizri Station Investigation Officer Sub-Inspector Munir against the alleged accused, claiming that the group was involved in more than 100 cases of theft, ransom, kidnapping for ransom and murders.
