‘BISP helping Pakistan become a welfare state’

LAHORE – The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is playing an important role in making Pakistan a welfare state, BISP Punjab Director General (DG) Shahid Aslam Mohar said on Monday. He was addressing newly-recruited assistant directors and assistant complaints at the BISP provincial office.
Mohar said that basic aim of the BISP is to eradicate poverty by giving financial assistance and a lifestyle to millions of poor families living below the poverty line. He said that the BISP aims to give a dignified status and empower women by making them self-sufficient. The BISP Punjab DG said that after getting benefits from the BISP, the living standard of beneficiaries of the programme is improving.

  1. This guy Shahid Aslam Mohar is an extremely corrupt individual who does not deserve to be at this position. Unfortunately, the PPP has done nothing but bring in such corrupt traitors in its 4 years in power. We as Pakistani's should be ashamed of voting in such a corrupt party to rule us. I strongly request the Govt to remove this idiot from this senior position and put him behind bars for the rest of his miserable life.
