All set to celebrate Eid Milad with reverence, fervour

DASKA – The people of Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur today have finalised arrangements to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi with great reverence and fervour, renewing the pledge to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for development, safety, peace, unity and brotherhood amongst the followers of the holy prophet (PBUH).
Special security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order on this occasion. Newspapers and magazines will publish special supplements while television channels and radio stations will arrange special Naatia Mushairas and quiz programmes on Seerat-e-Mustafa (PBUH). All major government and private buildings, residential and commercial plazas, markets, mosques, roundabouts and houses have been tastefully decorated.
Mahafil-e-Milad and public meetings will be held in different parts of the tehsils while the faithful will actively participate in the programmes organised by different local, religious and social organisations. Na’at and qiraat competitions would be held throughout the day in every nook and corner to revive the real spirit of Islam and pay homage to the holy prophet (PBUH).
There would be special security arrangements in Daska, Sambrial, Pasrur and Silakot to avoid any untoward incident. The participants of these congregations and Mahafil would be properly checked by security personnel. Milad processions will be taken out from different areas of the cities, reciting na’ats and darood-o-salam. Ulema and scholars would deliver lectures on the holy prophet’s way of life.
Meanwhile, the district police have finalised elaborate security arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) to ensure peace. The Sialkot DPO has directed the SHOs to check all vehicles along the routes of Eid Milad processions to avert any untoward incident.
GUJRANWALA: Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated in Gujranwala with religious zeal and fervor under strict security measures to be monitored at district as well as divisional level. Gujranwala Commissioner Saeed Iqbal Wahla has directed all the DCOs of all the six districts, city police officer and the DPOs of the five districts to ensure foolproof security arrangements on the routes of processions, at mosques, imambargahs, public sector buildings and markets etc.
He urged the police to put security force on high alert to tackle any incident. He also ordered cleanliness of routes besides removing encroachments and objectionable materials on the routes. The commissioner appealed to the masses to strictly monitor their surroundings themselves and inform the police of any suspicious activity if noticed.
HAFIZABAD: Preparations to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) with religious fervour are in full swing in the district. In this connection, streets and bazaars are being decorated with colourful buntings, banners, attractive curves and images of the tomb of Holy Prophet (SAW). On the night of 12 Rabi-ul-Awal, mosques, government and private buildings would be illuminated with colourfull lights. Different religious organisations have been taking out rallies and holding Mahafil-e-Milad at mosques and other places since first Rabi-ul-Awal.
The district administration is taking measures to provide maximum facilities to the participants of the processions and Mahafils. The district coordination officer said foolproof security arrangements were being made for the protection of the participants of the processions in the district.
FAISALABAD: Security has been tightened in and around the city for the holy Prophet’s birth anniversary celebrations. Regional Police Officer (RPO) Aftab Ahmed Cheema convened a special meeting of senior police officers and members of Interfaith Harmony Committee to discuss the security issues. It was disclosed that 108 Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions and 85 gatherings had been scheduled and they would be provided a security shield by a total of 4,500 policemen while another 2,000 police personnel would be ready to move into action in case of any threat or disturbance.
A total of nine SPs, 16 DSPs, 24 inspectors, 20 sub-inspectors, 267 ASIs, 249 head constables and 3180 constables will be on duty. The respective town SPs will be responsible for having a video record of the events in their jurisdictions. Moreover, a close monitoring of graffiti, pamphlets distribution, sale of audio and video cassettes and CDs and implementation of Amplifier Act will be undertaken by the security personnel.
The town SPs have also been directed to arrange surveillance of offenders, absconders and proclaimed criminals belonging to extremist groups. An open display of arms is strictly banned at public places, especially at rallies and processions.
