WAPDA win National Women’s Cycling C’ship

LAHORE – WAPDA won the 1st National Women Road Cycling Championship at Kasur with 71 Points on Sunday. Army were runner-up with 66 points and Punjab got third position with 25 points. President Punjab Cycling Association, Ch Kamran Amin, was the chief guest of the opening ceremony while District Coordination Officer Kasur, Mailk Jahnazeb Awan, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony at Zila Council Hall Kasur.
In this championship, six teams from all over the country took part. Three road events were organized on Sunday.
Results:
10 km Individual road time trial: Sabiah Nisar (Army); Raheela Bano (Wapda); Asima Punjab.
20 km team road time trial: WAPDA; Army; Punjab.
20 km road race: Sabiah Nisar (Army); Raheela Bano (WAPDA); Sajia (Army).
