Two SC judges take oath today

ISLAMABAD – Two Sindh High Court (SHC) judges, Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany and Justice Amir Hani Muslim, will today (Monday) take oath as permanent judges of the Supreme Court. They will be administered oath by the CJP. The appointment summary of these judges was approved by President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday and a notification was issued by the Law Ministry.
With the inclusion of these judges, the number of SC will rise to 18 judges. Now the Supreme Court would be in a position to take up pleas against the 18th Amendment and review petitions against the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) judgement.
