LAHORE – Sky dropped raindrops and snow in various areas of the country on Sunday; Met office has predicted widespread rain and thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills in Punjab including Islamabad, Khyber PakhtoonKhawa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during next few days.
While scattered rain and thunderstorm is likely in North East Balochistan and Sindh including Karachi. Lovely weather in Lahore compelled the citizens to make most of their holiday. They went to the parks and zoos to celebrate the wonderful weather with zeal. Long queues of cars and bikes were seen parked outside parks and zoo.
Citizens also expressed their joy over the recent rain wave by saying, “this rain has not only made the weather pleasant but also has benefited Rabi crops whereas snowfall is benefiting the fruit trees”. Met office also revealed that the current rain spell would continue till February 16th.
