LAHORE – National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) N-5 Central conducted a special patrolling in N-5 Central Zone to ensure enforcement against illegal use of LED Lights, wrong use of indicators and vehicles without tail lights on Sunday. According to a handout issued on Sunday DIG NHMP N-5 Central Syed Ibne Hussain personally monitored the special patrolling and forwarded different instructions to the patrol officers.
During monitoring, DIG stopped at different places to check public dealing of the officers. He also inspected the speed checking cameras to ensure that they were calibrate and used at spots at which accidents likely occur due to over speeding of vehicles. All the Sector Commanders of N-5 Central, beat commanders and admin officers remained on roads to make this special patrolling effective and result oriented.
During this special patrolling, extra vehicles were used to maintain traffic discipline, brief and guide road users about road safety, perform defensive driving, use Motorway Police Helpline 130 and extend maximum help to the road users during rush hours.
