ISLAMABAD – Former federal religious affairs minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi on Sunday criticised Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for running a ‘mudslinging campaign’ against him. Addressing a press conference here, he said the FIA, acting at the behest of some others, was involved in spreading rumours about his sources of income.
“The FIA is misleading the public about my bank accounts. One of my brothers is abroad and sends me foreign currency in my account,” he claimed. He said he had bank deposits worth Rs 272,000, but the FIA declared it Rs 17.2 million.
