KARACHI – A telefilm on the real life story of a 16-year-old girl, who was kidnapped and molested by terrorists for two months in the Mingora region early in 2009, was aired recently on the state TV channel. ‘Eik Beti, Eik Kahani’ is the true story of a 16-year-old girl, who was kidnapped and molested for around two months by terrorists, and then forcibly married off to a 72-year-old commander. However, she survived the ordeal when she was recovered by the Pakistan Army as a result of Operation Rah-e-Rast. ‘Eik Beti, Eik Kahani’ is written by Amir Raza and directed by Kashif Nisar, and its cast includes Maria Khan, Farhat Abdullah, Zia Khan and Zubair Jadoon.
‘Faseel-e-Jaan Se Aagay’ is a humble endeavour to pay homage to Pakistan’s courageous people and armed forces whose resilience and sacrifices have turned the tide of extremism and militancy in most of the troubled areas of the country. Four instalments of ‘Faseel-e-Jaan Se Aagay’ – ‘Matti Ka Qarz’, ‘Meraj’, ‘Inkaar’ and ‘Ada-e-Sarfaroshi’ – have already been telecasted and received a tremendous response from the audience.
