PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti has invited the Iranian government and entrepreneurs for investing in the province, saying “stimulating the economic activities can help them eradicate terrorism and militancy.”
He was addressing a ceremony arranged by Peshawar based Consulate General of Islamic Republic of Iran and chaired by a senior journalist Amir Mohibyan the other day in connection with 32nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. He congratulated the Iranian government and people on the 32nd anniversary of Islamic Revolution that, according to him, led to wide range changes.
He said after the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian people handled certain challenges and now they were on the way to progress. Pakistan and Iran had unprecedented relations, he said stressing the maximum trade and business links between the two countries.
He added that this region had suffered a lot and now it was the time for the neighbouring countries to help the terrorism-affected people and, in this respect, he highlighted the investment potentials in the province and invited the Iranian government and people for investment.
KP Information and Public Relations Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said the pioneer of Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Khomeini struggled against the exploitative forces due to which an Islamic system based on modernism and acceptable to the Iranian was introduced in the country.
He added that innocent people of this land were being slaughtered in the name of Islam but the nation would not remain silent in such a situation and would use all the resources to uproot such elements. He further said that Islam was a religion of peace, love and brotherhood and there was no place for terrorism and extremism in it.
