Jamia Naeemia students take out Eid Miladun Nabi procession

LAHORE – Dressed in immaculately white shalwar kamez and black waist coats, large number of students from Jamia Naeemia took out Eid Miladun Nabi procession on Thursday.
Celebrating Rabi-ul-Awwal, the month of the Prophet’s (PBUH) birthday, students waved green flags and chanted slogans like, ‘Nara-e-Takbeer, Allahu Akbar’ and ‘Nara-e-Risalat, Ya Rasulullah’.
Naat Khawani was an integral part of the procession which started from Jamia Naeemia and concluded at its starting point after passing through Ghari Shaho, Queen Marry College, Press Club, Police Line, Bibi Pakdaman and Mohammad Nagar. Jamia Naeemia Principal Dr Raghib Naeemi led the procession.
Mufti Haseeb Qadri, Mohmmad Intikhab Noori, Mufti Imran, Maulana Irfan Khan were also present on the occasion. Speakers said problems including terrorism could solve if the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings were followed. “Islam has nothing to do with terrorism and prejudice.
Faithless militants cannot make the nation hostage. We should disassociate our self from personal prejudices,” they said. They warned the government that if Raymond Davis was freed, there will be no peace in the country.
