LSE continues to lose volume

LAHORE – The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) remained bearish with a further decline in the volume. The LSE 25-index lost 29.67 points to close at 3,723.53 against its opening at a level of 3,753.20. Out of total 111 active scrips, 22 went up, 38 went down and 51 closed without any change in their opening values.
The volume of the market stood at 2.83 million shares, which was 1.53 million shares less than Tuesday’s turnover of 4.37 million shares. The Bank of Punjab was the volume leader with 0.71 million shares turnover and it declined Rs 0.11 to close at Rs 8.45 against its opening at Rs 8.56. Nimir Industries Chemical was the second volume leader with 0.33 million shares turnover and it added Rs 0.08 to close at Rs 2.79 against its opening at Rs 2.71.
Pakistan Refinery was the major gainer and it added Rs 2.50 to close at Rs 108.50 against its opening at Rs 106. Pakistan Oil Fields was the major loser and it declined Rs 3.93 to close at Rs 325.27 against its opening at Rs 329.20.
