LAHORE – Punjab Governor Latif Khosa and his wife inaugurated first Tulip Flower Show 2011 at Royal Palm Golf and Country Club by on Tuesday. CEO, Royal Palm Ramzan Sheikh, Sitara e Imtiaz Head Rising Sun Institute for special children Parveen Tawab, horticulturist Nosheen Sarfraz, a large number of NCA students, over 200 flower lovers and 250 special children from the Rising Sun Institute were present at the occasion
After inauguration, the governor went round the Flower Arena to extol 14,000 tulip flowers on
He also admired preservation of flowers and old trees by the management and technical staff of the Club. The Governor socialized with the special children and showed interest in their welfare and education. The special students participated in a sketching competition and produced state of art sketches.
The Tulip Flower Show will continue for two more days. Second day of the flower show will be open to farmers, flower growers and flower lovers. The final day has been reserved for members of Amateur Gardening Club. Lahore Chapter of Floral Art Society of Pakistan is holding a similar event.
