LAHORE – Raul LaPlacette and Saqib Khan Khakwani steered PICIC Insurance to a comprehensive win against Guard Group/Diamond Paints in the opening match of the Pakistan State Oil Aibak Polo Cup 2011 here at the LPC ground on Tuesday.
After a washed out opening day, PICIC Insurance launched its campaign in style by hammering Guard Group/Diamond Paints eight goals to four and a half.
Raul LaPlacette and Saqib Khan Khakwani kept the proceedings of the match in control by hitting four and three goals, respectively. Shah Qublai Alam could score only a single goal for PICIC.
Gerardo Mazzini, with three goals and Raja Samiullah with one completed the tally from the losing side.
