LAHORE – The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) was under the weather with a decline in the volume. The LSE 25-index lost 43.14 points to close at 3,753.20 against its opening at 3,796.34 levels. Out of a total of 113 active scrips, 15 went up, 44 went down and 54 closed without any change in their opening values.
The volume of the market remained 4.37 million shares, which was 1.85 million shares less than Monday’s turnover of 6.23 million shares. Nimir Industries Chemical was the volume leader with a turnover of 0.75 million shares but it declined by Rs 0.41 to close at Rs 2.71 against its opening at Rs 3.12.
Lotte Pakistan PTA was the second volume leader with 0.74 million shares turnover and it lost Rs 0.22 to close at Rs 16.45 against its opening at Rs 16.67. Pakistan Refinery was the major gainer and it added Rs 3.75 to close at Rs 106 against its opening at Rs 102.25.
