LAHORE – Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) ministers would be ousted from the Punjab cabinet if federal government did not act upon Nawaz Sharif’s 10-point agenda. Reiterating the PML-N’s stance on Monday after visiting the Punjab Governor’s House, he said that the party was working on a public welfare agenda and no delaying tactics would be tolerated in this regard.
Commenting on the deadline given by PPP Senior Minister Raja Riaz, the law minister said there was no deadline in democracy and those thinking they could pressurise the PML-N government were living in a fool’s paradise. He said that Raja Riaz had not even read his proposed points before publicising them, adding that he done so just to record his performance before the PPP co-chairman.
Asked if he discussed the PPP proposal with Governor Latif Khosa, the minister said that his meeting with the governor was pre-scheduled and they had not discussed the PPP’s planned sit-in. He said that he had invited the governor was to the wedding of his daughter, which Khosa accepted.
To a question on Raymond Davis, the minister said all requirements of justice would be fulfilled and even the US would endorse the Punjab government’s efforts for justice.
