BADIN – The PPP will continue to abide by the constitution and there will be no clash if all institutions work within the parameters given in the constitution, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said on Monday.
Addressing a public gathering at the inauguration of Golarchi Grid Station project, Gilani said, “The constitution provides trichotomy, with all institutions including parliament, the executive and the judiciary enjoying their respective powers.” He said the 18th and the 19th Amendments adopted by the government through consensus would help ensure provincial autonomy and increase resources for the provinces.
He said the PPP was following the politics of reconciliation and consensus, and it was due to this policy that over 60 bills were approved in parliament, with consensus, during the last three years.
