Our three cricket national heroes namely Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Aamir have been proved guilty of corruption with heavy punishments resulting in debarring them from cricket for 10 years, 07 years and 05 years respectively.
Nonetheless, they have immensely defamed the country internationally for their own vested interests. Such an act is nothing short of treachery to the country and the nation.
I suggest such cases must be treated with iron hand without any leniency. It was an act of treachery and should be referred to our courts as well. Strict action should be taken against them and if necessary, new law should be promulgated to check such behaviour in future.
