LAHORE – The All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) will organise a gathering at the Presidency, Islamabad on February 11, 2011. In addition, the APTMA is introducing Legends of APTMA Awards for leading textile businessmen, to reward for outclass performance in the textile industry.
President Asif Ali Zardari has graciously agreed to confer these awards to these legendary figures during the annual dinner at the presidency. Decision, regarding Legends of APTMA Awards, was taken by the Managing Committee of APTMA. The awards are aimed to acknowledge efforts of legendary businessmen in the promotion of business activities.
APTMA Chairman Gohar Ejaz appreciated efforts of the Minister for Textile Rana Farooq Saeed in steering the textile industry out of a string of crises. He expressed hope that APTMA members, in particular, and the business community of the country, in general, would gain strength out of the arrangements of APTMA annual dinner at the presidency.
In addition, he said that it would send a signal to the international community that Pakistan government’s is keenly involved in promoting business activities for the collective well being of Pakistan.
