Punjab U-13 football trials from today

LAHORE – The trials for the selection of Punjab U-13 football team for 13th National U-13 Festival of Football will be held on Monday (2 PM) at MTFA Ground, Model Town. Punjab Football Association (PFA)’s President Muhammad Arshad Khan Lodhi has approved Model Town Football Academy (MTFA)’s President and former Pakistan manager Mian Rizwan Ali as camp commandant while Faisalabad’s Imdad Awan will be head of selection committee.
The Pakistan Football Federation will stage the event in the third week of February and the players, born on or after January 1, 1998, are eligible for the trial as well as competition. Sahiwal will act as titlist who clinched the 12th National U-14 Festival of Football at Islamabad’s Jinnah Stadium on March 9, 2010, beating NWFP on tie-breaker.
The 36 districts of Punjab allowed for sending their school-level boys are Attock, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Chakwal, Chiniot, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Jhang, Jhelum, Kasur, Khanewal, Khushab, Lahore, Layyah, Lodhran, Mandi Bahauddin, Mianwali, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Narowal, Nankana Sahib, Okara, Pakpattan, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Toba Tek Singh and Vehari.
