PPP to protest outside PA if PML-N ignores 19 points

LAHORE – PPP Punjab Senior Minister Raja Riaz Ahmad said on Sunday that Pakistan People’s Party provincial ministers would stage a sit-in outside the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday if the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif did not respond to the 19-point agenda presented by the party.
Talking to the reporters, he said the Pakistan People’s Party had been trying to point out various issues to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for the last three years, but not a single one had been resolved. He said the PPP was a major coalition partner of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in the provincial assembly, but the chief minister did not take it into confidence.
Riaz said that the PPP had decided to record its protest in case the PML-N failed to implement the party’s recommendations.
