PM approves promotions of PR, IB officers

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday approved the promotion of Shafiqullah, an officer of Pakistan Railways, from Grade 20 to Grade 21 and 11 officers of Pakistan Railways and Intelligence Bureau from Grade 19 to 20. These promotions were recommended by the Central Selection Board headed by Justice (retd) Rana Bhagwan Das.
The names of the officers approved for promotion from Grade 19 to 20 in Pakistan Railways are Ramzan Shah Gilani, Muhammad Saeed Khawar, Muhammad Arshad, Mehmood Ali Lashari, Mobeen-ud-Din and Saeed Iqbal Khan. In Intelligence Bureau, Fuad Asadullah Khan, Khurshid Anwar, Nasir Mahmood, Shujaat Ullah Qureshi and Bakhtyar Khan have been promoted from Grade 19 to 20.
CAA says it resolved TA flights issue: Following the directives from Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has amicably resolved the issue pertaining to Turkish Airlines’ (TA) flights to Karachi, said a statement issued here on Sunday.
It said, the issue had been raised during prime minister’s visit to Turkey by his Turkish counterpart. “Keeping in view the close brotherly ties between the two countries, Gilani had asked the CAA to resolve the issue according to mutual satisfaction of both sides”, it said.
