Gunmen shoot Hindu trader dead

QUETTA – A Hindu trader was kidnapped and killed by armed men on Sunday. According to police, Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Multani Muhalla was going to his shop when unidentified armed men intercepted him on Patel Road, held him up at gunpoint and then killed him when he tried to escape.
Police reached to the scene and shifted the body to Civil Hospital Quetta for autopsy. Hospital sources said the bullets were fired at his head which killed him instantly. Balochistan Minister for Minorities Basant Lal Gulshan condemned the murder of Ramesh Lal and said that administration had completely failed to provide security to minorities, adding that kidnapping of Hindus was not a good omen.
He said three Hindu traders had been killed during the past three years while a number of people belonging to Hindu community were kidnapped, including a Hindu spiritual leader Maharaj Luckmi Chand Garji, who were yet be recovered. He said the Hindu community will take the matter in its own hands if no action is taken.
