CM Competitions in full swing

LAHORE – The phase-II of the 2nd Chief Minister’s Sports Competitions is in full swing here at different venues of the city, with players from all the nine divisions taking part energetically in the intermediate level competitions.
In girls athletics, Najma Perveen of Faisalabad won the gold medals in 100m and 400m races with a time of 12:96 seconds and 1:00:78 minutes, respectively. Sadia Khaliq from Rawalpindi was declared the winner of shot putt. In boys 100m race, Aoun of Lahore won after clocking 10:90 seconds, while Samson of Lahore was the winner of 400m race with a time of 50:42s. Waqas Rasheed from Lahore stood winner in shot putt.
In the boys hockey competition, Faisalabad beat Multan 7-0, Sargodha defeated Rawalpindi by 3-1, while the match between Gujranwala and Sahiwal ended in a 2-2 draw. In girls hockey, Multan beat Gujranwala 3-0. Lahore stood winner against Rawalpindi 7-1. Faisalabad defeated Sargodha 2-0.
In the boys volleyball tournament, Lahore beat Sargodha 2-0, Faisalabad defeated Rawalpindi 2-0 while Gujranwala were declared winners against Bahawalpur 2-0. Sahiwal bagged first position, beating Multan 2-0. In girls volleyball, Faisalabad beat Gujranwala 2-1. Multan were given a walkover over D. G. Khan while Gujranwala also received a walkover over DG Khan.
Lahore beat Sargodha 2-1 and Faisalabad beat Rawalpindi 2-0. Bahalwalpur won their match against Sahiwal 2-0. In boys football matches, Sahiwal defeated Multan 1-0. The match between Faisalabad and Gujranwala ended in a draw. Bahalwalpur were given a walkover over Sargodha. Lahore snatched the first position after defeating Rawalpindi 5-0.
In girls badminton matched, Lahore beat Gujranwala 2-0, while Multan won with a score of 2-0 against Falsalabad. Sahiwal were given a walkover over D. G. Khan. Similarly Multan were given a walkover over D. G. Khan. Lahore beat Gujranwala 2-0 whereas Sardodha secured first position when they defeated Bahawalpur 2-0. Faisalabad edged Sahiwal 2-0.
