LAHORE – A telefilm titled Ada-e-Sarfaroshi depicting true story of Hawaldar Naeem Asghar Shaheed was aired on Friday on PTV Home at 7:40pm. Ada-e-Sarfaroshi is part of drama series Faseel-e-Jaan Se Aagay, based on real accounts of people who have sacrificed their lives for Pakistan and showed exemplary resilience in combating terrorism during 2009.
Ada-e-Sarfaroshi is story of a common man attaining heroic heights. Asghar embraced martyrdom after fearlessly killing a number of terrorists along with their commander in Adeen, Mingora. His successful operation at Area Point 2207.2 made it possible for the army to have a secure access route until Bahrain town in the valley.
The telefilm is written by Sajjad Saji and directed by Kashif Nisar. Kamran Mujahid, Sofia Mirza and Rasheed Ali star in it. Faseel-e-Jaan Se Aagay is a humble endeavour to pay homage to courageous Pakistanis and its armed forces whose resilience and sacrifices have turned the tide of terrorism and militancy in most troubled areas of Pakistan.
