Police recording witnesses’ reports of Lahore shootings

LAHORE – The police investigators on the orders of Lahore High Court kept recording the statements of eyewitnesses in the Lahore shootings case. Two people were reportedly killed by a US national Raymond Davis while another man was crushed to death by a vehicle coming for Davis’ rescue.
Pakistan Today learnt on Friday that the investigators have collected valuable evidence against Raymond Davis. The investigators have recorded statement of a local restaurant owner and an eleven year old boy who saw the shootings. It was also learnt that investigators have forwarded initial interrogations report to the Punjab government.
Sources said that according to the police investigators concluded that the shooting by Raymond Davis went beyond the extent of self defense. Sources said the police investigators had doubts about Davis’ statements for some discrepancies.
