Man killed over land dispute in Sahiwal

SAHIWAL – Three people shot dead a man over a land dispute. Reportedly, Siddique, Ashraf and Mohsin, residents of Chak No, 63/12L, entered the house of Manzoor, murdered him over some land dispute and escaped from the scene.
Brother and sister electrocuted: A brother and his sister were electrocuted while repairing a tube-well’s machine. Reportedly, Shah Muhammad, a resident of village Harrapa, was repairing the machine of the tube-well. All of a sudden, he received a severe shock that proved fatal. His sister Salaan came to his rescue, but she was also electrocuted.
Two girls abducted: Two girls were abducted in separate incidents. In the first incident, Riaz and his five accomplices abducted Sabran Bibi, a resident of Mouza Loungawali, and escaped. In the second incident, Irfan and his three other accomplices abducted Samina Bibi, a resident of Chak No 128/9L, and escaped.
Qazi Ashfaq becomes Sahiwal commissioner: Qazi Muhammad Ashfaq has taken over the charge as the commissioner of Sahiwal Division. He is one of the senior officers in the Punjab government and has vast experience of working at various important positions.
The outgoing commissioner Tariq Mahmood Khan received him on his first day at the office and briefed him about the development work carrying out in the three districts of the division. Additional Commissioner Nasir Jamal Hotyana, Development and Finance Director Habib Jilani Vance and Public Relations Deputy Director Muhammad Aqeel Ashfaq were also present on the occasion.
The newly appointed commissioner lauded the services of the outgoing commissioner and said that he would try to serve the people in Sahiwal with his full devotion.
