LSE elects five member directors

LAHORE – The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) elected five member directors for the year 2011 here on Friday. All five members elected as directors belong to Panel A. They include Mirza Ejaz Baig and Jahanzeb Mirza, who bagged 71 and 70 votes respectively. In addition, Ammar ul Haq, Mazhar Rafiq and Naeem Anwar have also been elected to the Board of Directors, obtaining 69, 65 and 55 votes respectively.
Polling started in the LSE Auditorium at 11am and continued till 5pm, except for a two hours break for prayer and lunch. A total of 124 voters were registered, of which 94 showed up for the voting, exhibiting a turnover of 75.80 percent. However, the LSE Board will complete after nominations of five non-member directors. The board will later elect an exchange chairman.
