ISLAMABAD – The joint investigation team (JIT) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) probing into the murder of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto will present to the Anti-Terrorism Court a forensic report of the BlackBerry cellular phones of the slain PPP leader, recovered a few days ago from one of her personal staff members.
A source in the FIA told Pakistan Today on Friday that authorities would be in a position to submit the forensic report in the court by the next hearing on February 12.
The JIT had recovered two BlackBerry mobile phones of Benazir Bhutto from her house in Karachi. The mobile phones were later sent for forensic tests.
The FIA source said the de-tracking of the phones would help the investigators get some credible clues into the murder. The JIT believed it would be able to find some missing links vis-a-vis murder of the PPP leader.
