GUJRANWALA – Gujranwala District Bar Association (DBA) senior member Altaf Rabbani was burnt alive owing to when sudden fire broke out in his room. Reportedly, due the gas leakage, the fire broke out in the room and the lawyer burnt alive. He was shifted to the Mayo hospital Lahore from the District Head Quarters (DHQ) Gujranwala where he could not survive.
ARMY AVIATION GRADUATION CEREMONY HELD: Army Aviation Basic Course’s graduation ceremony was held at Army Aviation School Gujranwala that was chaired by Chief of the General Staff (CGS) Lieutenant General Waheed Arshad.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Waheed Arshad congratulated the new graduate pilots and appreciated the performance of Army Aviation particularly in natural calamities. He awarded flying brevets to the graduating officers and performance trophies to the student pilots who earned distinction in the course.
Army Aviation School Commander Brigadier Sadaqat Ali Khan highlighted the salient aspects of flying training being conducted at Army Aviation School through various flying courses. Gujranwala Corps Commander Lieutenant General Raheel Sharif, senior army aviation officers, parents and relatives of the graduating officers also attended the ceremony.
INTER SUPPLEMENTARY RESULTS ANNOUNCED: Gujranwala Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has announced the Intermediate Supplementary Examination 2010 results in which 6,849 candidates out of 26,124 succeeded making the success ratio 26.21 percent. BISE Chairman Mehr Muhammad Bashir said that five candidates were caught while cheating and banned for these papers for a period of four to six years.
All candidates had been delivered the result cards through registered mails on their given addresses and the candidates might contact BISE office in case of any delay or missing.
