And the flags are lowered

With borders backed millions, the ever young guards perform their daily duty of lowering the flags of their respective nations, marking the sunset and ensuring that none of the flags soak up the darkness that follows the sunset, at the Wahga border.
With their boots thumping their motherland they approach the no-man’s land, open the gates, blow the bugle and shake hands, soon after which the flags are lowered. The height by which a brawny guard lifts his leg or pumps his chest is what entertains people here the most.
The chivalrous beefy guards are known to be swollen with pride, while they dutifully ensure the protection of their nation’s space. This ceremony is attended by hundreds regularly; people from all genders and races gather here under their respective national flag and witness what they have witnessed many a times before; the lowering of flags and establishment of borders.
To see one’s nation’s security take the charge and carve deeper the borders already drawn, a sense of security and satiation is experienced every day here at the gates, which separate Pakistan from India.
