Six wardens record statements on Davis incident

LAHORE – Officials investigating the Raymond Davis case on Thursday recorded the statements of six traffic wardens, who were on duty around the crime scene when Davis killed two youths – Faizan and Faheem – Pakistan Today learnt on Thursday. According to police sources, all six traffic wardens recorded their statements, briefing the investigators about the crime scene and all the incidents that took place at Qartaba Chowk.
The wardens told the investigators that Raymond had trained his gun at them as well when they stopped him during his attempt to flee. The sources said the statements given by Davis were also not matching. They said Davis had said in an earlier statement that he felt Faizan and Faheem a threat after which he brought out his pistol and shot them dead, but he had now stated that he killed the two boys when they pointed their gun at him.
The sources added that Davis used to visit various cities, including Islamabad and Peshawar, along with three accomplices, who had not been identified so far They said Davis’ accomplices were also involved in suspicious movements and they used to pass on important messages in writing and only talked about ordinary matters openly.
