Be cautious

When you think of the means of transportation in Karachi, you will come across different varieties of vehicles that move on its streets. Trucks, cars, public buses, rickshaws, donkey-carts, motorcycles and then there is three-wheel motorcycle which is also known as Chinchi (a variation of its original Chinese name Qinqi).

I got an opportunity to travel on this as well. It is actually a cart which is fixed on the motorcycle. Unlike public buses they charge less but their route is limited. There is a space of six people to fit in this transport but at times seven to eight also manage to adjust in this small space.

It is not a safe ride because there is a chance of unbalance due to the bad conditions of the road and then the cart having seats for passengers is fixed very poorly. Once the pressure increases at the backseat, the bike may lift upward. Secondly, the poor fitting may break anytime and both the parts could split up.

This kind of transport is already banned in Faisalabad due to its involvement in accidents. The users and the public must be careful while taking advantage of this vehicle.
