CAIRO – Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said on Tuesday he would not leave Egypt although he would step down from the Presidency at the end of his term, due to end when the country holds a presidential election in September.
He also said pledged to implement a series of reforms, including calling on the judiciary to combat corruption, adding that he would seek changes to the constitution. However, TV channels reported that the protesters reiterated their demands that President Mubarak leave his office immediately.
