Culture and civilisation are often mixed up in our minds. Culture is the passing of traits from one generation to another and civilisation is the result of culture.
Culture is a system in which we share beliefs, values, customs, behaviours, and artifacts that the members of society use to cope with their world and with one another, and that are transmitted from generation to generation through learning while civilisation is a complex society that has cities, social classes, and government. Culture is just one aspect of civilisation.
It’s possible for a culture to exist without civilisation, but a civilisation cannot exist without culture. A civilisation can encompass more than one cultures.
